No, I won't be sending it to the wreckers. Believe it or not, my twin brother also owns a 1995 Contour SE, my older brother owns a 1996 Contour SE and my parents recently acquired a 1996 Mystique LS for use as a winter car for my mother. When each of us were car shopping, we felt that the Contour/Mystique offered the best bang for the buck. Shortly after we all purchased our respective cars, we agreed that the first to die would be used as a parts car to maintain the other two (three cars now). Unfortunately, my twin brothers contour has a problem developing with the alternator, could use new brakes (which I just had put on mine) and a few other minor things taken care of. We (mostly he) would be further ahead to take my car of the road in order to keep his on. Given that, I am car window shopping but really can't find anything that is as entertaining as the contour yet reasonably priced.

Whoa! And I was traumatized to see 156,000km go by earlier this week! It's nice to know that maybe I could keep the Mystique for that long though... It's encouraging for sure!
