Moore has said time and time again that his stuff are not supposed to be "documentaries". Whether people see them as such and he can even win an award for Documentary is not necessarily his fault, though I'm sure he doesn't particularly mind.

He is a great filmmaker. And the stuff that he makes has superb entertainment value, especially his older not-so-right-hating stuff like TV Nation and Awful Truth.

I've met him and spoken with him and he's not nearly as liberal as his work makes him out to be. He, in the great capitalist tradition, realized what made money so he started making it. Too many people take his stuff as gospel when it really was never meant to be.
