VCT stands for Variable Cam Timing. It is a system that allows the engine computer to adjust the timing of the exhaust cam.
ECT is the engine coolant temperature sensor, which sends temperature information to the engine computer. The temperature gauge sender is separate from this sensor.
The temperature sender should be about $15 to $20 to replace.
