I have only started listening to it for the last couple a months. Right now, I am starting out pretty basic with some simple stuff like, BT. I really like BT.
Honestly, I'm not familiar enough with the genre right now. I have been playing around with Acid Express (the free version, which is limited to 8 tracks) and have mixed a few things. Not until recently have I been able to come up with anything that really sounds worth a crap.
At our last meet in Huntsville, I wanted to buy this comp disc set of DJ's from last years Ibeza, but I couldn't.
I love driving to House and Trance though. Just as much as I do Slayer, but that's another thread.

I'm more into goa trance, but i almost always have one of three of the radio stations on at di.fm. Right now its their deep house channel, sometimes their goa trance channel, and sometimes their chillout channel. But yes, progressive house is decent stuff!

BT is a good start! He is a very talented musician in his own right but I myself wouldnt put his music in the Progressive House genre....now alot of different DJ's/Producers do remixes of his work that do fall in this genre though. There are way to many DJ's/Producers to try and name..but I will throw down a few of the top of my head....Deep Dish, Saeed & Palash, Sasha, John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Josh Wink, Phil Kieran, and Chris Macali....and the list could go on and on. Progressive House is really a broad genre to begin with...I mean the lines are not as clear as country is to Heavy Metal...The genres will blend together from Tribal, Breaks, House, & Trance...they can all fall into the Progressive category wich depending on how they are mixed will control the flow of the whole set. Oh well..everyone has their own musical taste...I listen to all kinds of music but being that I am a DJ (a progressive house DJ at that) I am very partial to this style of music so I tend to listen to it most often..and yes it makes great driving music!!!!!!!!
But if anyone is interested in this music I have mixes available...(not for sale) they are promotional mixes that I make to hand out as demos. Just IM or PM me for details.

Hey Kinyoto Im a house dj too. And in regards to your list of greatest dj's You left out #1 danny tenaglia(of course calling him prog. is pushing it) Last week a saw steve lawler play in hollywood. It was actualy the second time i saw him play at Avalon, I think he has a resedency there. I like how you put Phil k on there def. one of my favorite up and coming dj's. I would def. be intrested in hearing your mix. I have a bunch of mix's to however im never realy very happy with them. How long have you been mixing? Do any clubs? I have been a die hard bedroom dj for a good 4 years now. Prob. is a still suck Pm me.

So if you go to a club and hear electronic music then it is considered ghey?? Damn you are more close-minded than I thought. I have seen a few flamers around town..bumping some hip/hop-rap in there cars as they drive by...so I guess that makes hip hop-rap ghey as well.
Like I said..I listen to all kinds of music..and to each his own on there preference..but seriously if you dont know what it is ..THEN JUST DONT COMMENT!
