I know its not a stock engine like were talking about, but a lot of people (including my dad very soon) swap in AMC 258 crankshafts into the Jeep 4.0 HO engine to make a 4.8 liter I-6. Talk about stout: iron block, pushrods, naturally balanced I6 design and 7, count em 7 main bearings.
