Just wondering what would be eveyrone's opinion on these cheap drivers. I'm thinking of ordering a pair to tinker around with, as a midbass in my car.

Here at PE

Nice somewhat high Qts of .55, and a decent 5mm xmax. May work good for doors of cars?

They look pretty good to me. Their only drawback is the 8ohm impedence. I used some 5" 4ohm Peerless mids that were extremely similar (cost something ridiculously cheap like $5/each) and thought they had a very good bang for the buck. The mids/vocals sounded very nice, but the mid-bass was a bit lacking. Maybe the larger cone area and longer Xmax of those 6.5" mids will make up for it.

IIRC, the other cheap peerless mids were a fairly low Qts model with somewhat high fs (60 hz range) which would explain the lack of midbass. It looks like these would be quite nice for the right application. A nice compact home MTM speaker, or a mid in a active car audio system.
