They look pretty good to me. Their only drawback is the 8ohm impedence. I used some 5" 4ohm Peerless mids that were extremely similar (cost something ridiculously cheap like $5/each) and thought they had a very good bang for the buck. The mids/vocals sounded very nice, but the mid-bass was a bit lacking. Maybe the larger cone area and longer Xmax of those 6.5" mids will make up for it.

IIRC, the other cheap peerless mids were a fairly low Qts model with somewhat high fs (60 hz range) which would explain the lack of midbass. It looks like these would be quite nice for the right application. A nice compact home MTM speaker, or a mid in a active car audio system.
