I also knife-edged the butterfly plate but didn't decrease the over-all diameter of the piece. Also, bored the inside of the throttle body everywhere but the ridge where the plate seals. Polished with ultra-fine sand paper(800 grit)to get rid of any scratches from grinding. Cut off half of the bar and counter sunk the screws. Am very happy with this FREE mod. Also a friend told me that there is a very fine ceramic coating on the inside of the unit for scavenging larger unfiltered particles. Personally I have never heard of this. Does anyone else Know something I don't?
