well, i told everyone id run my dads 2000 F-250 Lariat 4x4 Diesel.

it has a Banks kit on it, big head acuator, transmission controller, 4" exhaust/downpipe and a chip.

the truck also had 32 gallons of diesel, with 3 toolboxes on it, and a rack.

the best run was a 16.789 @ 78.34 mph, it beat a Dodge Ram R/T 2x, a F-150 4.6L, lost to a Honda Civic "vx" turbo.

we are getting a new chip for it from diablo since they make one for 80 and 100hp, and we will run on Kerosene the next time and with less fuel, ill come back and post again when we go again.

It must be nice to have 700 lb-ft of torque wink I dont remember the exact amount of torque that the Banks kit puts out, but I know it is a bunch.

I saw them install one of those kits on "Trucks" once.

You should stick that thing on the scales and see what it weighs the next time you are at the track. I drove my moms Durango to the track last night and the scale was on, so I figured what the hey! 4550 lbs! eek I didn't run it, but just weighed it for s**** and giggles.

Speed kills, but it beats going slow!

the truck probably weighs almost 5000 lbs.

the banks system was a pain the ass to put on, stock the truck has 235hp, 500 ftlbs.

right now supposedly its around 315hp, and over 600 ft lbs. but im not sure, i told my dad to have it dynoed, have the new chip put in , and dynoed again.

Probably over 6000lbs. My F-150 Lariat weighs in the 5000lb range.

Rest is probably close.

Is that an automatic or manual?

This is funny. Last Wednesday night at KCIR a white 2000 F-250 4-door 4X4 pulls in towing a 10 second Stang. Shortly after, the F-250 is at the line ready to race. It's the F-250 vs a convertible 5.0. The F-250 gets off the line with no wheelspin and is literally putting the 5.0 in a diesel smoke screen. The race looks absolutely neck and neck down the track. The et sign flashes 15.8@87 to the Stangs 15.9@89. It was freaking hilarous.

I was left to wonder what had been done to that turbo diesel, but now it's clear that the F-250 must have had some serious turbo tweaking to run like that.

BTW, the conditions that night were 80 degrees and nearly 90% humidity. I'd bet that F-250 could have run a mid 15 in cooler weather.

Went over to Canada in my Expedition once and they have scales before you cross the tunnel. with my friend and I in it we clocked in at 5650 or so...
Just figured since this is so far off topic I'd throw my hat in.

its a automatic, i ran it with Overdrive on. my dad said taking OD off wouldnt make that much of a diff, and the truck doesnt spin the wheels which is great, it just grabs and goes.

Maybe you could sell him your Diablo chip and he would have 337hp? Just a thought.
