Hey Gang,
I am making the journey to FL next week(AGAIN) but this time it's with my 97 Escort. The problem is it has 119k miles and the front end is feeling kind of loose. When I make left hand turns, you can hear a metallic noise - almost like a chain dragging or something. Dad said it might be the CV joins about to go but I don't know. It also has a check engine light and needs an oil change.
Do you guys know any good(aka cheap) shops in the area I could take it to? I live in the Westford area(495, rt2 and rt3) I don't want to spend a fortune since this thing is my beater but would like to keep it reliable. I don't know any Escort forums so I figured id come ask my favorite Ford NE buddies
