Go to a Mustang website and ask people whether they'd be willing to donate their stock TB.

I'm getting mine from a friend. For free. wink

Of course, that'll be when hell freezes over since Fjord ain't to speedy in making those Bullit intakes. ARGH.

Guys im new here but i have a related question. i have a 99 cougar and am getting a SVT intake manifold from my friend. Now he has both a SVT throttle body and 65mm mustang one. he said i can have either one, but im not sure which one to get... would the 65 be too much? i have a borla dual exhaust, kkm intake, and msds headers/y-pipe and ill have the SVT manny like next week. im also part of a dyno day next month so i might just try to get both and dyno the results, im grateful for any responses, you guys have alot more knowledge of this than my friends on NECO. thanx

Vinny

Vinny - go for the 65, will really help maximize your headers. Just keep in mind when switching to either it or the SVT unit, you'll need to get the SVT throttle cable and bracket. You may also want to consider going with the 80mm mustang maf, and 19# injectors. I run those with the 70mm TB on my 99 Cougar, and they work great. Mileage is up noticeably as well.

The application you're looking for is a 4.6 modular V8 with single OHC, not the DOHC. I believe the stock Mustang GT has this engine in it. FRPP sells a 70mm upgrade for this application.

Correct, the DOHC motors have a dual-butterfly oval Throttle Body.

Well, i just ordered the bracket and cable...those damn things are expensive!!!! Friggin Ford....oh well....i hope this TB helps me out on the top end..that is where my car needs help.. it should compliment the intake, headers, and exhaust well...

for a total cost of about 140 (parts, shipping, tax) this should be worth the $$$$$$ but we will see...
