I agree that cleaning doesn't always work (happened to me) but I would still give it a shot, as a replacement is around $60. The labor is minimal just to pull of the IAC and clean it, so its not like you're spending hours for nothing. In my case cleaning improved things for a month or so, but eventually the issues came back.
