Honestly, a 65 should be fine on a 2.5, and as Aussie has shown, it appears to need less hacking to make work.
I'm sticking with the 70 on mine mainly because I got a good deal on it, and it works well for me. And of course, if I ever do the 3.0, it'll be just right.
