I have 2 new issues with my '97 2.0. First, the easy one. I have developed a trouble code(stored) of 461. This number is not listed in my Haynes or Chilton. Any ideas? Also, on a related note I am throwing a 172 code, is the O2 sensor to blame? Hope so. Anyway, the second and most severe issue just popped up today while the wifey was driving home. The car feels as though the transmission just quits on it. Engine revs way up, car slows down and then BANG! snaps back into a gear (usually not the righ one) and continues on. Drove it 5 miles and feared I would not make it home. Really weird. I was reading about maybe a sensor of some sort, but that was on the V6's, mine is a I4. Any ideas would be most appreciated. BTW, anyone know how much a total rebuild would be on my tranny? Thanks in advance.
