yeah, right...which is why tool is one of the most influential rock bands of today. i know that not everyone likes their style of music, but regardless they are possibly one of the most talented bands out there.

What logic do you need to listen to something and say "I think this is horrible"? You can't call it ignorant just because you don't agree with it, that was my point. As far as SK goes, I don't like them one bit, but more power to you.
And speaking of cult band followings...out of curiosity. How do SK fans and ICP fans feel about each other? Is there some big clown/tribal feud or are they all cool with each other?

Personally I don't think any group is "horrible". I may not listen to every single band or like them all but I don't think any are horrible. The ones I don't like I back by why I don't like them such as: metallica-everything they have done in the past 5 years has sounded exactly the same, although they did some great things for rock music early on. Oo and Lars Ulrich sucks (personality).
I listen to almost every kinda music, from hard rock, to rap, to country, to pop. Though I listen mainly to rap in my car because I like the beats and bass, my favorite type of music is hard core rock.
I like SK and ICP (neither group is my favorite, I just like them).

I'm not a big SK fan but ICP...ugh one of the absolute least talented bands I have ever heard. Some of their stuff is sorta funny but god those guy really just have no talent.

not a icp fan at all but love slipknot. i think the general ignorance is when someone says artist/band xyz sucks. do u like that style of music? no. then your not in a position to say someone sucks. if your a huge rock/metal fan then maybe u can comment. i listen to lots of different music. i'm not as familiar with say country or classical (even though i can and do listen to it) and i would never say country star xyz sucks. i can say i'm not as familiar with their work or prefer this artist/sound to that artist/sound (same music genre). i dont know squat about polka and would never say polka sucks. i like weird al though

ICP sucks too.
Anyway, I'm pretty much saying that I'm not a fan of this genre of music, whatever that is. Everybody has a personal taste when it comes to music, and we're not all going to agree on that kind of topic. Forgive my closedmindedness in regard to my previous post.

Wow this thread quickly turned ugly. But anyways, yeah I like Slipknot. They're new album rocks but I think I like the first two more. Also, if you like SK, pick up the new Killswitch Engage (The End of Heartache). Heck, buy the one before it too if you dont have it already. They are both freakin awesome to me.

Which album you like the best? I prefer Chamber music the most myself. His voice can get a tad on the annoying side after a while though.
