That probably is the biggest insult ever. I hated when people had my car confused with an escort...

Quote from a ford mechanic getting ready to replace my engine after it blew in the middle of podunk Missouri "Oh, that's an SVT model, I though it was just a plain contour with fancy ground effects"

Nobody's actually insulted my car yet, unless you count the time when I come home and there's someone in my parking spot. One of the kids around said they saw the guy go into my neighbor's apartment. Thinking their guest didn't know where to park, I ask if they had someone here with a blue Mazda, he said it was his. I said "Oh, that's YOU in my parking spot." He then apologizes and said he thought I was already home, as he pointed to our other neighbor's Taurus, which was the same color as my Tour.

You shouls have said YES , then go to court and say the officer 'Didn't even know what kind of car I was driving! So I couldn't have been speeding....'

yeah i know what you mean, i was parked at the beach the other day and i come out to a ticket on my windshield. it was just a warning, but the year, make and model section had 2003 Ford Taurus. i just laughed. and another time when i went to a body shop to fix my bumper i told the lady it was a Contour and she looked at another guy and said, "oh, thats an Escort." and i said, "no, it's a Contour" with a demeaning tone just to make her look stupid.

Doesn't matter what kind of car he was driving, the fact is that he was speeding. Also the license plate number was probably correct, so you have no chance of winning in court.
