i have heard the bassani and all i can say is wow! its the best sounding set up. i have never noiticed rasp upon start-up. i imagine if the sho shop y pipe was added it would really sound nice/loud. you will notice an increase in torque.

Bassini does have minor rasp when cold (for about 1 min after startup) then its gone. The sound is excellent but loud - very deep & clear. Probably the freest flowing catback system for the SVT. The major problem is droning on the freeway. Kind of gets annoying with time - longer trips more noticable. I finally got tired of it and added a resonator - kept the sound I like & got (mostly) rid of drone.

I feel the same about that too..I wonder if "dynomatting" the trunk will eliminate some of that. I am going to do that anyway when i get my subs. We will see..

The only time there is ever rasp is above 3 grand when the exhaust pipes have cooled. By the time you are around the corner, or the engine has reached it's normal operating temp, no rasp.
As to freeway droning - don't have it. However on the local roads it can be annoying.
Also - the exhaust volume (Right word?) changes according to weather. Now in the summer it is a lot quieter than it was in the winter.

Just my opinion on things
