What I did, and I know it sounds ghetto, was punch a hole in the center of each of the tabs that extends from the vinyl part of the dash (the part thats bending upwards toward the windshield) with a cotter pin remover. Then, I fed a zip tie (woohoo for zipties once more!) through each of those holes I punched and looped it around the metal frame directly below that black plastic grille/molding/air deflector and pulled it as tight as I could. Then you just fit the black plastic piece in over the top and it hides the cheating very nicely. Suprisingly, it worked very well for me. yeah sure a pic would be nice. now i have more ideas to fix this problem.
