This is not entirely true ... I recently tried to install a no-res '98 SVT exhaust on my '00 SVT and it DID NOT fit
(I didn't want to hack up my orig. exhaust) . Sometime since '98 the gas tank changed & they changed the exhaust accordingly (I'm figuring at the E0 to E1 change) . I didn't realise it until I tried to lift the '98 exhaust up into place ... not even close . The bend around the gas tank curves right on into the tank .
Any SVT exhaust will fit a 1st generation Contique quite easily . And , I would assume , any '98 Contique . But , If someone out there wants to do a '98 exhaust onto '00 swap - it's a no-go .
Just thought I'd kick in some info for anyone listening
