EXCELLENT choice & deal. I picked up a Kodak DX 4330 for well under $200 and it also takes excellent pictures. The optics make a HUGE difference - pixels aren't everything. Work cameras are both 2 megapixel units from Kodak (DC-280 and DX-3600) that take pictures as nice or BETTER than many 3 and 4 megapixel brands. 
Nikon Coolpix cameras also have very good optics & will give you great results. I bought a Nikon Coolpix 2000 for my sister - VERY nice camera for the money.
