You may want to have the Alternator checked again. I'm not sure how you checked it the first time to determine both the battery and Alternator were bad. Autozone usually checks your charging system for free.
Its not common, but the Alternator could have been bad before you installed it. Have it checked to eliminate that as a possibility.
