Has anybody else had this this terrible noise problem when they open this door. I have a 95 and 2000 Contours and both have it. White Grease will not help.

I had this problem, I greased the hinges, and the hinge check. I believe the hinge check inside the door was the culprit.

Passengers door on drivers side? That's impossible...
Do you mean the rear drivers door? If so, then yes I have it too. Since that door is seldom if ever opened it's so tight that it seems newer than new..
I've put some grease on the hinges. Not WD-40 which is more a penetrant, but grease.

Maybe if "you" said, rear "divers-side" door, your explanation would make more sense. I think his description of the door is very good.

I keep a bottle of spray lubercant handy as my hinge checks need greasing every six months or so. I usually spray the hinges at the same time just for kicks.
I am beginning to think the doors are sagging a bit which would make the hinge check rub it's guides a little more.

Thanks to all but what is the hinge check? And what type of grease do you recommend since white grease didn't work for me.

I used some graphite spray. I bought it at an auto parts store. Its a small can and it works. I had the same problem on all my doors.

I have the same problem on the same door. I tried some WD40 but gave up after that.. I don't usually have passengers back there.

WD-40 is a terrible lubercant for things like that.
Wait, WD-40 is just a terrible lubercant and a half decent penetrating oil.

Beowulf, do you agree that graphite is the best lubricant for this problem?
