Just finished my car, the gooseneck was not too bad, add a little grease inside the neck, enough to coat it and it slides right on. BUT my gas pedal is sittin waaayy low, anyone have this problem?? I have not installed a KKM or other type of air inlet (awaiting SC wink ) so I honestly did not see a big gain or if I did gain I cant tell because the damn pedal is so low. I still have the full range of throttle motion, its just really sensitve. Any thoughts?

I picked up a 3/16 set-screw collar from a local hobby store.

With as much slack as I could get in the cable I cut the end off inside the car and put the collar on.

Be carefull to only cut the small brass stopper of the cable. After the collar is on and adjusted where you want the pedal put something on the cable end as a safety stop.

I used an electrical terminal lug. Just trim of the end and use the grimp part.

Ok, now that the computer adjusted to the new TB (more air). I have noticed a difference. The Car sounds raspier, more bark to it than before. Improved all around acceleration including on the highway (could be just a version of the butt dyno though) Again though this is with a stock intake too. I am going to leave the pedal alone for now.

well, i've put over 400 miles on the car now with the larger TB on...thanks to a trip down to San Diego this past weekend. I finally modified the cam part of the TB so it hit the manifold sooner to make the butterfly stop flat.... I too have the issue with the pedal sitting really low, so i have to modify it like you did. I think i had a really hard time on my gooseneck because I have a Cougar and our stock TB is sooooo much smaller than the 65mm one...its an understatement when i say it was a b!tch. My KKM intake hisses like crazy even at idle now....it feels as though it pulls harder up to redline and even part throttle acceleration is better (to be expected i think)...I will get it to the track in 2-3 weeks time.... i still need to get used to the throttle sensitivity and I want the ECU to learn as much as it can before i go to the track. I guess the next thing I would need to do is a larger MAF...but that is going to have to wait as I just began escrow on a house....hehhehe....

When doing this Mod you may get really bad throttle hang.

Fix it by adjusting the air bypass screw, all the way down, next to the TPS sensor (allen head in the pictures).

Found a dyno but 125 per hour is a little high.

So this is the same TB as in the Mustang, and will work on our cars? Why is it that only the 96-98 TBs are listed in this thread? Did they change them for the 99+ model years?

Yes, my non-SVT throttle cable goes over the top of the cam, and then a small metal plug fits into a hole in the far end of the cam, securing the cable in place. Standing at the front bumper, looking at the throttle lever/plate as the accelerator is depressed, the cam/plate rotates in the clockwise direction.

Any pics? Someone needs to post some detailed pics of the TB on both SVT's and non-SVTs, before and then after the mod. We need pics of the throttle cam side of the TB, which is hard to do because the hood is in the way. Sorry, but I don't have a digital camera. I will try to take pics with my 35mm and then scan them in. It may take a while, however...

yeah, saw them, but was looking for some better angles to see exactly which way the cam on the TB goes.

I scanned in a pic of the TB on my '95. This is from the Haynes manual. There are 4 black arrows in the pic. Find the upper right arrow. Then look just below the tail. That is the cam that the throttle cable goes into. You can also see the attach point for the CC Cable, and just barely make out the aux. throttle return spring mount.
