I was thinking the same thing....Brings me back to the Mustang Speed Density vs. Mass Air topics over on the Corral.

"The torque increas with this mod is AWESOME. Part throttle and up to 3/4 throttle is totally like night and day compared to the SVT throttle body."

Was thinking about this. I dont exactly see how the big T-body would help at less than full throttle. Unless, the big butterfly is just really only allowing more air in sooner, equivalent to pushing the gas petal further. Some companies do with their throttle cables - basically a little throttle motion leads to a big throttle opening and a PERSEPTION of more low end power/incraesed throttle response. Could this be occuring here? Be real interested in seeing dyno proof sometime of this mod.

What additional mods do I need to do to my car (95 non-SVT V6) to make this work? My throttle cable goes over a black plactic cam and then attaches to the throttle cable. It looks, from your pics, that your cable goes under this cam. Is this right? Will I need anything SVT specific to do this?
Could you post some pics of the throttle lever/cam/cable with the throttle closed, at 1/2 throttle, and WOT; so that I can get a better idea of what is going on here?

You need and SVT cable bracket that hold the Throttle Cable and CC Cable to make this work on a non-SVT.

Ok, thanks, you don't happen to have a part number, do you? Was I right about the cam? I am guessing that it is the same throttle and CC cable, though?

I don't know the cam orientation/setup on non-SVT contour, but if indeed it DOES go firstly over the top of the cam then down and around, then you may not have to clock the throttle shaft and cam. But without seeing the setup, I am going in blind.

You need the SVT throttle cable and bracket. The CC cable remains the same. Also, some early SE's had a different connector for the TPS which you may have to adapt to attach to the 'stang TPS.

I hope the installation is pretty straightforward. I can see one issue being the gooseneck assembly. I better take it off or something and stretch it somehow and be careful not to tear it, to make sure it fits over the larger TB now. I didnt want to buy a new one of those either, they are just wayyyy too much money...

Info I got from Bill Jenkins

Part number F4SE-DB crosses over to a F7SZ-9E926-AA, and it fit's the regular 4.6L in the T-bird, Cougar, Crown Vic, Towncar, G. Marquis.

F7SZ*9E926*AA BODY List $212.70 CEG $138.26

When doing this Mod you may get really bad throttle hang.

Fix it by adjusting the air bypass screw, all the way down, next to the TPS sensor (allen head in the pictures).

Found a dyno but 125 per hour is a little high.
