ok.. then turbo atx it is.


I just have a crazy obsession with boost.. I love cars with boost. the way they sound / feel..

And I love my contour..
and all its problems.. I hate the problems.. but I love the wrenchtime and the experience to learn.

This place made me change my mind about junkyarding my contour.

Since my transmission is broken..


My plans
While in last month of bootcamp, send the money home to have it fixed. (transmission)

Out of bootcamp, drive the car to where im stationed. (don't know location yet)

Meet people that work on cars, and go junkyarding to gather parts. Use the tools available through the Air Force to install my turbo. Use 5 lbs - what I can get max w/out detonation

Turbo = fairly good sized, probally a talon TSI Turbo since they can put out 15-18 lbs max. (more then enough)

Mandell bent pipes
BOV
Waistgate

Turbotimer (to help it cool)
Prospect B (boost controller)
Apexi-SAFC II (control fuel curve etc)

Guages:
A/F Ratio
Boost Gague
Exhaust Temp

Thats to start with.. Then ill tear down the engion when i get extended leave, rebuild it with forged pistons, low compression, and other goodies. Finally update my fuel system.

Sound like a plan?
