The ATX in our cars is known for overheating easily. I was stuck in traffic on my way home this evening in hot weather and it had me worried. At this point, if the tranny guy doesn't find anything wrong with your car, I would suggest having a flush done if the fluid isn't too old. How many miles since the last ATX service, and how many miles overall?
