141 at 3 AM on the back roads before I had to brake. She still had a bunch left though, maybe some day on a wide open stretch of pavement?

135 mph. I was cruising comfortably at 100 mph and passed a suburban that was modified. It had a dually rear end and sounded like it had at least a modified exhaust. As I passed him, he gunned it and we were off! He kept up with me until 120 mph but I wanted to let him know that his brut of vehicle was no match for a SVT contour on the open road. I looked down at speedometer at I was going 135 mph and the suburban was far back in my rear view mirror. I will never do that again. Going at that speed is too dangerous on public roads.

225km/h was indicated on the speedo...but who knows, all i remember is that brake fade waz a large problem when slowing her down

On a trip to Buffalo from NYC, I did 125 on a nice long strip of Interstate 90, between Tonawanda and Rochester. I just planted the gas pedal into the carpet and watched the speedo. The OD didn't kick in until she hit 105. The only reason I slowed down, was because the nose started to lift off the ground.
I hate it when that happens.

my top speed in my car was 137 at about 74-7500 rpm...my buddy drove the car and had it past the 145mph speedometer! the tach was a hair into the "red"...the car had 3 people in it and 205-50-15 size tires...car comes stock with 195-55-15....2000 civic si with intake header exhaust

152mph and climbing. it was at 5,800 rpm. going on a slight downhill could have helped but all i remember was whipping through third and fourth gear faster than ever. i was coming up on my exit ramp and i looked down to see the 152mph. handled like a dream while i was weaving in and out of traffic. kind of scary but did great. never will go that fast again.

I had my ride to an indicated 155mph, With some more left but my balls didnt want to let me go any more....

well 240Kph on the Qew at 230Am several times and the brake fade is terrible.

106 mph, but I slowed down before I could get documented proof from the New Mexico State Police!
