wow..damn mondeos-- but yeah, can those fender flares be molded to a contour? i don't think that part of the car is any different than ours..so they should just fit on...
anyone know, or have tried it?

They can be molded onto the hood like the pic's above. I'm one of the three with them on my car, but they're not molded on. I think they look okay though. They still keep things cool. And FYI, the vents he is using are the exact same kind I (we?) have.

Linky Poo's:
Close Up -the paint matches better than it appears in this pic.
Underside -hadn't washed it yet this day
My car -pic. taken Saturday

i picked up the wheelarch spats (or fender flares!) second hand for about £50, they are off a mk1 mondeo but i thought i would be different and put them on a mk2. they fit fine and should fit a contour no problem. all i had to do was drill a couple of new mounting holes under the arches.

i think ford UK still sell these arches for approx £85 so you could try there or keep your eyes open on ebay, they are getting pretty rare though.

i've been running the other car with the hood vents in all sorts of weathers and not had a problem with water getting in. i am going to get some stainless steel undertrays for them though.

theres 2 types of escort cossy vents here, one type is alot smaller than the other. my mk1 has the smaller ones, and the big ones are on the mk2.
