Umm, JaTo, what about the Campaign Reform Act? That takes away the freedom of free speech during an election in the form of ads from groups other than those directly connected to that person running for office can't be run within certain time periods of elections. I say that is a right stolen from me.

You are correct! The Incumbent Protection Act (aka Campaign "Reform" Act) is completely unconstitutional! It is in direct violation of the First Amendment, which is supposed to protect freedom of speech -- ESPECIALLY political speech!  However, that was NOT part of the Patriot Act. And, it was mainly supported by Democrats and John McCain -- erm, that's redundant...  But yeah, mostly the Left side of the aisle was all in favor of that thing, along with a few country-club/RINO Republicans. Unfortunately Bush went ahead and signed the damn thing.  Yeah, we'll just let it slide and hope the courts declare it unconstitutional. Riiiight. Good friggin' luck with that bunch of socialists in the Supreme Court.

Try again. This really is stopping Michael Moore and his upcoming Anti-Bush "mockumentary" from being distributed and shown, isn't it? 
There's 10 different ways around that and it's aimed more towards political groups than individuals...

OH YEAH... campaign reform act does NOT take away "Free speech"... candidates can still say whatever the hell they want to in their ads. It takes away "soft money", which, apparently being a Democrat, you should be in full support of, being that The GOP is SOOOOOO consumed with "big business" and we're SOOOOOO corrupt, and we get ALLLLL our money from Enron!!! It means that all the rich old men like Ken Lay (BAD!!) or George Soros (apparently good?! whatever...) can't just give millions of dollars to a candidate... there are limits to protect the "common man". Really, its a very liberal piece of legislation (despite the fact that it was championed by McCain)... i'm completely surprised that you're now trying to use it agains the republicans! Really shows a lot (and by lot I mean ZERO) of thought on your part!
