Even if they had EVERYTHING to do with Reagans success, they would not have a reason to expect an invitation. The State Funeral is a benefit of service as President, like Secret Service protection, or health insurance - all at taxpayer expense. The event is totally in the hands of the family, and rightfully so. The pomp & ceremony are a traditional courtesy to the supporters of the Former Statesman, but the funeral is totally a private, family & freinds type event, like anybody else.

For Former President Clinton or ANYBODY to EXPECT an invitation to speak, or even attend, is a HUGE display of how crass they really are. If it is true that the Former President was upset over this, then all I can say is, stupid hillbilly bumpkin. He is the one seeking the spotlight and turning it into a political opportunity, nobody else.

I have given the benefit of a doubt when it comes to Former President Clinton on more than one occasion (despite the occasional slip), simply because at least one of his efforts benefitted my children, and children in general, in a very real and profound way. I have held my tounge and bitten my lip in an effort to at least refrain from being critical, but this tears it. If true, I simply will no longer stand at the sidelines when it comes to this guy.

Un-by-God-believable!!!

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
