I replaced my air conditioning compressor and refilled it with oil refrigerant etc. Everything is working fine but it does not cool as fast as it should nor does it get as cold as it should. Did I miss any key parts that should have been replaced along with the compressor?

Did you have any metal in the lines that you didnt get out?
I notice people say not to do that yourself because you may get metal in the lines.

I'd have to say that it's because you didn't vacuum out the system and there is air in the lines. I just did my compressor clutch this past weekend and I had to remove the compressor to get it off. I had my system vacuumed and recharged and it blows real cold.
