Im no tranny expert but i have done and helped swap 3 trannies in my tour and two friends. With that said i would be willing to bet the extent of "mods" you would need.(and terry even hints at what needs to be done in the post) Is Obviously The shift linkage would have to be swapped. Wich would not be fun. I doubt the shifter in the car would have to be modded, But again im no expert. Terry says the tranny is longer and uses a diff mount. You prob. just need the motor mount from the 6speed, but i bet it bolts up to the chassis the same.
Terry is a smart guy. If anything hes gonna make the swap sound more def. than it realy is. Like stated before the guy has to make a living, So hes not gonna be like "o yea its just a weekend job" But i bet the hardest part is just running the new linkage and fine tuning the linkage. The most important thing is "it bolts to the the block without mod'ing"
