ok i clearly c that this thread has gone WAY of original course - but gotta explain a few things posted on earlier - first off intake header and exhaust with those bad boys net u ~25 horse - anyone that said they get more than that was lying or jsut didnt know what they wree talking about - yeah we've all seen dynos where jsut an intake made like 850 more hp, but u gotta trust worthwhile testers, such as import tuning or honda sport magazines, they both did tests on the rsx type s a few years back when i was first looking at getting one - each mag did tests on 3-5 combos of diff air flows on those cars, and basically u ended up with ~25 horse (which is horrible considering how much it would cost to get those 3) one thing i do have to mention is how much better it makes rsx type s' with those mods, i know the power netted is way low, but the best part about doing those mods to the rsx is it makes the powerband and whole ride SOOO much smoother (so even though u didnt gain much "power" u've cut down a lil bit of time also due to how well those cars run when they can breathe) either way a lightly modded svtour vs lightly moded rsx type s us poor tours would loose most the time - yeah we got some torque on them but they weigh bout 900 lbs less than us and have a few more horsies - either way it'll be a good race and depending on the driver it could go back and forth - anyways just posting what i DO know bout em

Because if the yogo driver weighs 250lbs and I weigh (and I do) 140lbs, then I could have a slight edge.

The more I read this forum, the more I am convinced that the Type-S I raced was modified. He walked away from me easily in second gear and it ain't a drivers race when you're not shifting.

So have we established yet that a CSVT will get murdered by an RSX-S?

NO!!! It Will Never Die!! We Must Keep It Alive...Sigh....I Tried To Make A Joke But Its Not Going To Work... I ran a type-s about a year ago...We were at a rolling start (about 15 miles an hour) and it was raining a little. He didnt pull me until he was in v-tec and in third gear. I was obviously in the top of second but he really didnt pull very much or very fast (about a half a car up to 90mph) However lets not get into the whole traction control thing in the rain!

Pretty much....a stock RSX and a lightly modded SVt would end up being a drivers race. A modded RSX would pose a bigger challange (if he knows how to drive).

And that sounds like the general statement overall...so it should be left at that.
