I got an estimate from a local shop for about $1100. Im just waiting on a check from the insurance company.
What I am wondering is would it be possible to find someone to paint an entire CSVT to OEM condition for around $1500? If so I'd be ewilling to buiy the fender and pay the difference out of pocket.

Ouch...$1100 just to replace & paint a new fender?? Was there other damage?

$1100 is cheap...you figure..they are planning on a new fender..$300 then paint door..fender..hood...bumper at an average of $250 plus per panel. That alone is $1300 and you didnt even pay the gay to change your fender or repair the door. Youre getting a great deal...hope there quaility is matching as well.. good luck

LOL! No gay here. THe door isnt damaged, but they were talking about painting the door, fender, hood, and bumper I think. I have dealt with this shop in the past, not cheap but good work.
So would it be feasible to get this car repainted completely for about $1500?

If all of what you listed is what they are painting, yes its a good deal...my above post listed fender only for that price is unreasonable...thats why I ask what is included w/ that quote. List on a new fender is $195, plus paint & install, still $1100 is too much. The estimate book wouldn't list more than 2-3 hours labor for the complete fender. But if that quote included repair on the door, its a different story entirely.

No way would I let Maaco touch my CSVT. It would have to be a factory quality job to even consider it, since the car is still in nice condition, just not perfect.

GAY!!!! talk about a serious typo..[censored] sorry guys..lmao. If you only paint a fender ...it will not match..cheeck the shop I bet they are blending like they should..if not..find someone else to do the work..

Yep, as stated above that was painting the fender, blending hood and door (not b cover) and re-clearing the fender, entire hood and drivers door.
What id really like to do is if I could do some of the prep, as well as the sanding and rubbing, find someone to paint the car for abour $1500 plus the cost of the fender. I guess Ill just start calling some shops.....
