stock vs stock (1.8t or vr6) u'd crush him - throw a few bolt ons on either and the 1.8t will gain a lil ground (btw wolfsburg jettas only come in 1.8t) - but all in all only ways u'll loose to the 1.8t is 1-u drive like ass or 2-(this one sux for us tour's) 1.8t drivers can spend about $300 on a boost controller, and well if he aint a poose and has it turned up u'll loose. the only advantage that the 1.8t has over us is the fact they can bump themselves up tons more turbo and wreck us at hardly any cost to them . Either way u said basically stock vs stock u'll win. U may ask y i know this, well one i've raced stock wolfs and my buddies wolf with bout $300 into it (turbo chip) - destroyed him when he was stock, got whopped once he bumbped his boost

after reading some more posts i'll explain a lil more - yeah the golf with a few cheap mods would destroy us, wieghs nothing and is very inexpensive to make REALLY fast - and 1.8t jetta vs 1.8t a4, the a4 would take it (with same drivers) because of a very few simple differences between the 2 cars (the audi doesnt cost more JUST cause it's an audi) but yeah they are basically the same - and as a final note . . . poor us with no turbo, cant get ourselves ~50 hp for ~$300

Apparently those chips do ALOT for the 1.8T.

myboy has a 2003 and thats a nice little whip! he was showing me the chip info on those and they get crazy horsepower from there chips. he is about to get exhaust, chip and intercooler and its gonna be pretty fackin sick! i think the CSVT would win still but you better get that jump if its only 1/8.

Not with those mods. You will lose big time. $300? Nope, try $499 to start with.

my bad for the confusion...i was referring back to the stock forstock challenge. i know the jettas got it with those mods...in fact i have 2 friends with the same challenge but the jetta driver is a pus*y and doesnt race buthe lets me drive for him at the track and i will be forced to beat a CSVT on a grounds of principle
