Sorry Trapps but these are just words written for a man who use to be an actor and using them to taught his greatness says nothing for him. They are just parrots, a figure head or focal point for the parties they represent. I was never a Ronald Regan guy but I mourn his passing as I would any other.
Should I apply this thinking then to all dialogue offererd up by polititians? How do you know Reagan didn't write what he spoke? Also, before losing my cmposure, are you calling President Reagan a parrot? Even Figuratively?

I showed no disrespect toward Mr. Reagan specifically, more toward politicians in general. They are more self-serving then anything else in my opinion. The real people who serve this country are those in the armed services and they have my respect and admiration!

Sean, in all honesty, would you go to a man's funeral and say for everyone to hear "What an a$$hole he was, I hated him, thank GOD he's dead"? I honestly don't think you'd be dumb enough to do that. That's what we are trying to say. This is a memorial thread for Ronald Regan. If you want to bash him, why not start a Ronald Regan bashing thread? Mainly, my comment about saying something nice was directed at GWellington for his rude comments in the begining of the thread.

I never post without having at least some idea of what's going on. If I do, then I'll ask, "Hey! What's going on?" This wasn't one of those cases. 
My "outraged" reply was in response to people showing any form of disrespect in a thread designed to honor a passed president, not to sit here and debate whether or not politicians are disrespectful. 
Is that clear enough?

actally what pissed people off so much about your comment was the fact that you said "Yeah he's dead, I am tired of hearing about it on the news." In America, you're free to not watch the news. Just as you are free to post comments in an internet forum that make you look classless.
