Hey man, I think it has potential. I am big on the luxury side too, I wish the contour had more of it. Heck I sit in my friends 03 Jetta and just curse the contour sometimes and that is not even the most luxurious car. Anyway, if my contour took a crap I would look for a more luxurious car myself. Good luck with it.

i kind of like those cars. clean lines, good engine. what it lacks in "coolness" it makes up for in smoothness and comfort. gramps.

i'll probably get flamed for this, but sometimes i wonder whats the point of "pimping" out a contour? its a 4 door family sedan. although i do enjoy my 2.5L 5spd, i really question what the point of putting money into a car thats not really made for mods is. obviously some with much knowledge and $$ have done the impossible, and made them very awesome looking/running machines, i guess thats just me being dumb. o well.

The SVT Contours are not "family sedans", they are sport sedans. Not all four doors are family cars, just like not all 2 doors are 'sports cars'.

i agree, a 2 door civic is NOT a sports car, it is an economy car. even the base contours i wouldnt consider a family car. if you have a family of considerable size (more than 4), they arent all that great.
