Yeah, it was high school. I'm off to UGA to be a bulldog in the fall. The ceremony was at Savannah State University because there wasn't enough room in our crappy auditorium. Hopefully this clarifys things.

And yeah the diploma could use some editing...it's about the size of an index card!

Dude, why didn't you go to Southern or savannah state? I'll be going to southern this fall. I was just there this week, I should have drove to savannah while I was there and hung with you. Ooo well, I guess I have to be the only CEGer in the area.

It may work out that I have to stay in Savannah for a year or two and kill off my core classes at Armstrong Atlantic in order to save some money. UGA will just be for my major, so if you're going to GSU or SSU, feel more than free to drop in. One CEG'er in Sav isn't enough.

Partying confuses the average human mind...

I meant high school, but I guess it means I'm "new to college"...? Okay, I'll shut up.

Absolutely. None of my friends nor myself can believe it's already half over for us. On a positive note, we've somehow made time to get together every weekend or so this summer to make up for lost time when not on campus. Half my friends have actually moved near campus for the summer; they love it so much they can't leave, haha. (I'm lucky enough to be only 15-20 minutes away.)

Enjoy college, you'll enjoy it. And congrats on graduating! Gonna get another new car now? lol

I qualified and received HOPE. Unfortunately for the class of 2005 and up, they'll need to get a certain SAT score along with a 90 average instead of an 85, since HOPE is running out of funds for this type of "free college" thing. I had an 87, BTW.

Here's the catch though: HOPE only covers public universities, and room and board are not included in the scholarship. Any book fees that exceed $600-approx. IIRC, are not covered either. Basically, HOPE pays for your ability to walk on college ground, and that's about it.

And yes Perry, Georgia is a hellhole.

Hope pays tuition and most of the fees (I have to pay $65 of my fees, HOPE catches the rest), and only $150 for books. Luckily for me, atleast three of my classes, possibly four, I will get a free book loan. Though I still have to pay for the meal plan and the dorm which are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. It sucks for people like me (and even worse for people with less money than me). I'll have to get a crapload of loans and work as much as my can. My mom is making all sorts of sacrifices and even thinking about getting a second job to support me.

SAV,, I'll be going to GSU. I'm moving in August 13, so I'm sure I'll get up with you sometime. I'll spend weekends alternating between parties at GSU and parties in Savannah. I'm definitely gonna go to Savannah for St. Patrick's.

Went to Tech for a couple years. I say again. To hell with Georgia

HOPE is a whole lot better that what most folks in other states get. The key is to keep it.
