I spoke to SHOShop and they are making a new kit for the SVT. the guy i spoke with wasnt sure of specifics he said i had to speak to the manager. but its supposed to be about 6 lbs of preasure and 80 hp increase. its made by windjammer. (i tried to search for it on the net but found nothing on that brand) its about 3,300 bucks and DIY install. i wish i knew more about it. if any of you guys have any facts on this please post it. oh yeah and he wasnt sure if it was for the returnless fuel system. but im pretty sure that unlike the centrifugal vortech, this is going to be a positive displacement supercharger.

There's a little info about wynjammers in general at http://www.capa.com.au/wynjammer_blowers.htm

According to that site it is a centrifugal supercharger that will deliver 6-7psi.

Wonder if the "aerospace ceramic ball bearings that require no external lubrication" would make it into the Contour S/C?

I'm sure it is a 'non-lubricated' supercharger that would be in the Contour kit. Powerdyne has been making them this way for several years. I think the disadvantage is you can't run them up as high, but 6psi should be easy for it to do reliably. No idea if the running the oil lines to and from the Vortech is a pain in the ass, but it sure sounds like it! Still, I can't belive it will really be a 'simple, DIY job' after what the guys with Vortechs went through, regardless of the lubrication method.

Ya the Supercharger is a ball bearing syster that relies on a belt and elemates the shaft that the that the Votex uses. Its also a oilless system that is ultra quite.

So what are they going to do, mount the compressor housing on the passenger side and run the tubing across to the intake? I didn't
think there was room for it on that side.

well, our motor has belts on both side of the thing. so im guessing it would be easier if placed on the side /w the intake. just like the vortech. im just wondering if its going to be for the 'returnless fuel systesm'.

Yes, It does, But I don't see them using the water pump belt which is cam driven. They'ed be better off using the crank belt like the Vortech.
