....is your manifold being designed to mate with the 3L oval port LIM or the 2.5L split port LIM?

You're going with the twin port throttle body, right? Any idea on a source/price on one of those? I know BBK makes one for the 4.6....

And finally, should we be OK with our stock MAFs?

Sorry for all the questions, again- just trying to plan ahead....

Thanks for doing this, your work is MUCH appreciated!

Hey Travis I'm a Journeyman Millwright. I've been welding since I was 12 or so. TIG welding is second nature to me trust me I'd make it out of alum probably 6061 or 7075. Whatever I can get my hands on. The one thing I would strongly suggested to you about these manifolds. When you make the flanges to bolt them to the LIM etc make them thicker so you can mill them flat after welding If you get carried with the TIG on aluminum and not pay attention you'll warp the hell out of it. If you're very careful or have a jig you'll get minimal warpage.

Ok, i was just looking out for ya I didnt mean to make you sound stupid or anything. I just know a guy that made one out of a36 and replaced his intake valves 6 months later along with rings and a couple exhaust valves. I didnt want anything like the sort to happen to you. As for welding I have a proffesional that comes in and does it for me My tig welds could be surpassed by a 2nd grader im sure

As for the questions about the throttle bodies i can make any bolt pattern you need for the adapter thats pretty simple but ill more then likely choose the cheapest throttle body out there and pattern it onto the manifold. Or i might go with a huge single? I dunno all depends.

Im not really familiar with tuning these engines so I can`t really give all that much insight on the maf or injectors. I know past 230 all motor your looking for lean conditions and detonation. As I get some people with these on and get some feed back Ill be able to answer the question a little better.

I need a 2.5L lower intake manifold to do any that bolt onto that. If your interested a Ill do one for 350 +trading a lower intake manifold shipping at your cost

Here is an unbeautified zx2 mani. Needs to be sanded down and the like but you get the jist of it. We have the 3.0L upper machined but im waiting on my welding contractor.

All the 3.0L Duratec engines should work with this mani. I believe that lower I modeled from is an escape 3.0L. If someone who has more experience with all the diffrent makes of the 3.0L could chime in here Id be appreciative. The only difference I can imagine are vacuum lines. Also 01 and earlier heads are supposed to be different to some degree. Not sure how much. I doubt itd be a difference that would matter.

Although I haven't had much time to check the vacuum diagrams, but my current plastic oval port vacuums seem to match up exactly to the 99 aluminum split port fastcougar sold to me.
