Well the current project im running into is a race application. So were looking at the longest straight runner that will fit under the hood with the 3 inches of mid port. So approximate max horsepower is around 8500 with a complete mid port estimated length of 10 inches. plus .3D which will give an effective tuned length of about 10 and half inches. its a fairly high rpm system with big pleniums for excellent cylinder filling and less attention to throttle reponse and low end torque reproduction. Hes going to be running an aftermarket computer for fuel and timing so hes pretty extreme. The released version will probably have some mandrel pipes and less aggresive pleniums for more midrange and heavy top end emphasis.
I wont tune an intake manifold to a specific ECD for 500 bucks. My custom engine program oriented manifolds are 900 for the v6`s. These come with fully tuned runners to your paticular combination. Staged injection. Nitrous bosses. You name it ill put it on there. I just dont think most of the guys on the board would really benifit with the mild cams and light compressions of this kind of work. Its a couple horsepower on a light tuned engine where as an all out drag car will gain alot more with the heavy camming.
