OK. I finished the install on my SuperChip and MAN does it rock! For those of us that heard rumors that it wakes up the ATX tranny, it's true! Locks that TC right up at better RPM's.

I will do a full road test after I burn out the tank of 87 octane gas and put in some premium. Knocking sucks!

Mine came from Performance Plus

You need to be running premium fuel anyway on an SVT. The documentation with the SC says to run above 90.

I'd certainly agree with Chris, really made a difference to the way my ATX behaves, it's more happy pulling from low revs. Worth the money I'd say.

Do they make a big difference on the Zetec? How much do they run?

Performance Plus has them listed on their website for $225. But, you might be able to get just the module off ebay for around $100, then have it reprogrammed for about $50 or so.

So about $150.......how much of a performance gain is there? I would definatly like to get one if they are worthwhile.

Actualy according to the superchip paper, the Zetec had the biggest increase in HP. It was something like 15HP. I will have to dig through my stuff to find it.

Either way, it's worth it based on the tranny control alone.

15? Seems worthwhile. Now the time has come to save my pennies. Do I need to run premium gas with it as well? I already run mid-grade do you think that would be sufficent?
