What are some cheap and preferably easy mods I can do to my 98 SVT? I only have 34k on it.

I recently did some fine tuning on the throttle body which was cheap (.69 for 2 countersunk screws) and required about 2 hours of work. Check it out at:

Other mods you might try would include freeing up the intake as much as possible (See FAQ on SVT induction and see if you need this) and adding a KKM style intake. Exhaust mods start at about $20 to remove the resonator. If you do not like the sound, another $50 should get you a bullet resonator to tone it down a bit. The resonator (middle muffler) really is a major restriction in the exhaust though. ) to $2000 for headers and a new catback system. There's lots of ideas posted on this so read up and enjoy!

What type of air filter is stock? Is it just that, a stock filter or is it K&N? Thought i heard K&N was the stock filter. How much is the KKM Intake? I don't really wanna do anything that is gonna make it really noticably loud. I had a 95 Escort GT and it was LOUD. No muffler or res. Mass air intake, perf plugs/wires. Raced it on weekends and absolutely loved it. But this car, hopefully, will never be on the track. Just lookin for a few mods so that it's not stock.

I had the KKM intake and then switched over to a full cold air intake on my '98 SVT. Neither will make the car load but you do get a nice growl at full throttle. I would recommend this mod. There is also a K&N filter made that will fit in the stock air intake tube too.
