I recently did some fine tuning on the throttle body which was cheap (.69 for 2 countersunk screws) and required about 2 hours of work. Check it out at:
http://contour.org/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=6&t=002294 Other mods you might try would include freeing up the intake as much as possible (See FAQ on SVT induction and see if you need this) and adding a KKM style intake. Exhaust mods start at about $20 to remove the resonator. If you do not like the sound, another $50 should get you a bullet resonator to tone it down a bit. The resonator (middle muffler) really is a major restriction in the exhaust though. ) to $2000 for headers and a new catback system. There's lots of ideas posted on this so read up and enjoy!
