Alright, first the lock now the stupid sunroof..it won't close, I press the switch and it does nothing. I shut the car off, left it there for an hour came back started it up and it worked, I only closed it and did nothing further to it since their was lightning and thunder with pitch black clouds going around. My friends said it was a fuse or the motor. But if it was either then the thing shouldn't have worked at all, it did though and I can't figure out whats wrong with it, and plus where the hell is the fuse for the moonroof/sunroof? what do you guys think is wrong with it? and if its a motor, how much is that gonna cost? Thanks!

Bump...
I just bought a 2000 CSVT last week and I making the assumption that it's the relay switch cause the previous owner had the nylon gears repalced not too long ago and the moonroof isn't making a grinding noise... Has anyone else had this problem and has an answer/solution? I was also wondering if there was a one touch switch for the moon roof avalible through ford?
It's only stuck in the vent postion, but I still want to get this problem sorted out asap.

One of the big causes of the gear stripping is lack of LUBE on the tracks. Put some nice thick oil in those tracks on a regular basis.

Mine is doing the same thing, I believe it is the switch. There aren't any fuses or anything listed in the manual involving the Sunroof.
Mine has gotten stuck open twice now, and when you hit the button nothing happens, if you listen really closely try and open it farther and you can here the motor turning but when you try to close i get nothing.
Therefore i belive the switch is the culprit.

Just loosen the motor slightly (philips screw in pic). It binds when temps are hot.

A new one from Ford's about $300. I have no money right now so I just ripped the motor out and push it up and down with my hand.
