My 96 GL MTX makes the same kind of whistleing noise, kind of as if you have a turbo sound? Its pretty common on older fords with smaller engines, its the power steering pump, mine started to get a little louder when my serpentine belt was replaced.. I think it sounds cool, and a bunch of people think I have a turbo, ^_^ The sound comes from the front right side... Right?
