I ran the vin just to make sure it's a contour. Yes, surprisingly, it is. The description is closer to that of a ranger tho...

The guy at firestone told me my old rear tires were worn down cause I did too many breakstands. I tried to talk some sence into him, but how could I know more than him, he WAS a machenic.

Sorry, breakstands?? Is that something like a burnout, assuming he thought your car was RWD, since all Ford's are RWD!!

a brakestand is when you push the brakes and the gas down at the same time. works only on an AT, unless you have 3 feet.
the result of this in a RWD car is a burnout..if you have tourque they can be very smokey and cool, if not, they are very weak.
the result of this in a FWD car is looking stoopid while not going anywhere...
