The past couple times I've gone to cheapo Wal-Mart for gas ($2.009 with gift card, $2.039 without, for 87 octane). Elsewhere it averages $2.079/gal, unless you're in Westborough where it's $2.179/gal for 87 octane.

On a trip up to Rockport three weeks ago, my friends stopped at a gas station on the turnpike, where it was $2.179 for self-serve. One friend (a fellow Contour owner, non-CEGer) accidently stopped at the full-serve station because it was the only one open and wound up paying $2.379/gal for 87 octane.

Prices are dropping in s.e. Oklahoma. We were about $1.93, and today we're down to $1.75 - $1.78.

$1.74 for 87 yesterday in St. Louis.....Peaked around $1.99 2-3 weeks ago.

The forces that sent fuel prices so high are unwinding. Probably will peak again in late summer, but there is some short term relief in order for the next 6 weeks or so.
