I called BAT to purchase a tranny mount and if the install goes well and every thing fits fine I mentioned to them that I would be interested in purchasing the BAT/Bilstein spring/strut combination and guess what they are not in stock and I was even give the usual line that they will be in next week and the manifest of the current shipment items has to be check. I have read that they have been out of stock for quite some time on this combo. Guess there is not much of a demand for that combo.

I'm with eepals. I went with BAT Euro struts and stock springs. Very pleased; same height, gained stiffness.

BAT kit - Great overall upgrade
BAT kit with Bilsteins - much firmer ride with superior dampening
H&R's with Bilsteins - A hair lower CG and higher spring rates. (i.e. sacrifices a little comfort for capability)
All 3 are a drastic improvement over stock.
I would choose the later of the 3.

the later or the latter? They need to come out with springs that give the ride height of H&Rs up front with the height of Eibachs in the back, the closest I have seen to this is the Intrax. But if you're just looking for a more firm ride (realize that comfort is displaced), it depends on how much more firm.

silly question but with a firmer ride is there a greater like hood that the extra jolting felt by the driver and passengers will also be felt by the car possibly causing things and items to slowly come unfixed resulting in more sqeaks and rattles within the car
any comment

Brooklyn, Not a silly question at all. If you get too firm of a ride it could, over time, cause rattles and such. I intend to go for suspension upgrades that are kinda a step or two below race level. I actually had a conversation with my mechanic today about this. I am having some work done within the next two weeks or so. I will let everyone know how is goes. By the way Brooklyn, I live in a land of potholes and bad roads also (Arlington/DC). People in the far south may not be able to relate to this

im looking into getting konis but dont have the money to buy new springs now. Will the stock SVT springs (80K miles) have an adverse effect on the new konis? Would this be recommended?

The stock springs (even with mileage) will be fine on Konis. In fact, if anything, they'd put less strain on the struts than lowering springs.
