Finally got around to taking the TB off my Mondeo yesterday.... I've got the bar running across BOTH sides of the butterfly (and it's really thick) and I've also got the Teflon coating on the engine side of the butterfly. The coating looks to be next to useless, my car has done less tha 4000km and the coating was already chipped away at the edges of the butterfly and had a coating of oil gunge on it already too.

Measured the diameter of the butterfly to be 54mm- is that what you guys with the standard Duratecs have got? How much bigger is the SVT version?
